Video: this is how Microsoft should advertise Xbox One

I'm going to take a break from our usual assortment of Minecraft update stories, sage opinion-dispensing and terrible introductory jokes to talk about this Microsoft Surface promo from wonderful, wonderful Japan.

It's a stripped-down Ghost in the Shell episode in which Surface is somehow integral to every feat of acrobatics, gunfight or act of industrial espionage. Motoko even manages to make use of the device in a fistfight. Don't try all that at home, lest the sheer awesome cause your USB sockets to spew fireworks and thunder gods.

This, Microsoft US, is how you advertise hardware. Not with greasy lifestyle videos featuring women in yoga pants and men with miniature 'fros. Not by force-feeding a Colgate family energy snacks and having them prance around in front of a Kinect sensor. Anime partnerships are the future. How about leaning on Studio Ghibli next?

Alternatively, Microsoft, you could try your hand at something like the below.

Any other great game ads to share, ladies and gents? I'll add them to the article if I'm sufficiently impressed.
